Year 8 Induction Programme 2026

Wednesday 26 August OR Thursday 27 August- Palace Barracks (Optional Activity)

Comfortable clothing including trainers and waterproof jacket, Packed lunch, Snacks , Drink , Any necessary medication (eg epipen)

Arrangements for 8A, 8B and 8C​

Wednesday 26 August                     8:45 am – 3:30 pm​

Pupils will not be required to attend school on Thursday 27 August.

Arrangements for 8D and 8E

Thursday 27 August                         8:45 am – 3:30 pm

Pupils will not be required to attend school on Wednesday 26 August.

Pupils should arrive at the front entrance at 8:20 am as the bus will be leaving at 8:40 am sharp. Pupils should be collected at the front entrance at 12:20 pm.​​

​

Pupils should arrive at the drop off point at Palace Barracks, (Palace Barracks, Old Holywood Road, BT18 9RA).

Please adhere to the one way drop off system in operation.

Pupils should be collected at the same point at 3.30 pm.

Friday 28 August - School Induction 

​

Induction morning for Year 8 is Friday 28 August 2026 from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.

On this morning the pupils should come to the main school hall for 9.00 am in full school uniform. Please bring a drink and a snack.

​

Please note that the Silver Robin will not be available on this day

School buses will not be available on Friday 28th August.
