The boys 2XI hockey team beat Regent in the semi-finals of the Dowdall Cup. The match was fiercely fought by both teams and Regent took the lead early in the second half. Sullivan continued their counter attack and were rewarded about 3 minutes before the end of play with Harry Yarr making a great play along the baseline and Levi Hart there to finish the job and make in 1-1.
Extra time didn’t bring about any more goals so the game progressed to nail biting penalty flicks. Sullivan were rewarded for their efforts beating Regent 5-4, the victory was sealed with a fantastic save by Harrison Dunlop.
The final will be held at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club on Wednesday 27 March at 3.00 pm. All supporters welcome.
