The Computing Department distributed a BBC Micro Bit to all pupils in Year 8 during their ICT lesson.
In class pupils will be using the BBC Microbit web site and will be free to use this site outside school to experiment with the device. BBC have issued terms-of-use guidelines which you can view at www.microbit.co.uk/terms-of-use.
The devices are distributed free of charge by the BBC to Year 8 pupils, they will be free to take them home after class. If your son/daughter does not want the micro:bit we would be happy to have it returned to school for use with other pupils .
