Nerves were evident in the first half of the match as Armagh set out their stall right from the beginning. Oozing with confidence, Armagh settled quickly on their home pitch and dictated the pace of the match, opening the scoring from a penalty corner after 15 minutes of play. Sullivan were unlucky on occasions not to connect with the ball up front, after some nice attacking phases. Unfortunately Armagh scored at either side of half time to go ahead 3-0. The Sullivan girls showed their fighting spirit and kept going, winning a series of penalty corners, which unfortunately they were unable to convert. Armagh then counter-attacked and scored a fourth when Sullivan were very much on the attack. The girls should not be too disappointed as they gave their all and fought to the end, but were just beaten by an extremely talented side boasting four or five Ulster and Irish players.
